Alt-Paper Ad Rep Ruxton Media Launches Digital Network

Posted
By: E&P Staff The Ruxton Media Group, the Village Voice Media-owned advertising placement group, announced Tuesday the launch of a digital network for alternative papers nationally.

Ruxton Digital Media Network will be available to place ads and media packages on a non-exclusive to all Association of Alternative Newspapers (AAN) members that meet certain production and distribution standards, Ruxton said.

Ruxton currently represents 39 alternative weeklies in print and digital formats, and says it is on pace to deliver more than $2 million in digital sales to partner publications in 2008.

That's up 59% over last year, according to the company.

"Our growing success in digital sales to date and increasing demand from
advertisers for more inventory has spurred us to open up the network to all AAN papers," VVM President and COO Scott Tobias said in a statement. "A large national digital advertising network will give everyone the opportunity to participate in the growth of national digital advertising sales."
