(Adweek IQ) AlterNet.org, a San Francisco-based e-zine and
information resource, has launched a site expansion, including
five new topic sites. The new topic area launch coincides with
the site's first major redesign since launching in 1998.
According to Executive Editor Don Hazen, traffic to AlterNet has
increased more than 500% since George W. Bush took office.
AlterNet.org is part of San Francisco-based Independent Media
Institute, a public interest media company. AlterNet's database
includes more than 7,000 articles, with links to Salon.com,
The Nation, Mother Jones, The Village Voice, Utne Reader, The
Black World Today, DrugPolicy.org, and CommonDreams.org,
among other alternative publications.
