By: E&P Staff An exhibit called "American Menagerie" includes the work of editorial cartoonist Clifford K. Berryman, among other artists.
The show runs from this Saturday to Nov. 9 at Maine's Portland Museum of Art.
According to MaineToday.com, the Berryman work includes the cartoonist's creation of a teddy bear "as a personification of and a fictional companion" to President Theodore Roosevelt.
Berryman (1869-1949) was a cartoonist for The Washington Post from 1891 to 1907 and The Washington Star from 1907 to 1949. He won a Pulitzer Prize in 1944.
