Maybe it was naive to have been looking forward to a "normal" holiday season after what we went through a year ago, and the past few weeks of hearing about the omicron variant sure brought back shades of Christmas 2020. Fortunately, it wasn't a quarantine Christmas for our family this time around. We gathered but kept it on the safe side, and thanks to vaccine availability and a long list of lessons learned about precautions with rising case numbers, I'm going to stay cautiously optimistic about 2022. I hope you've been able to celebrate the holidays with more of the usual traditions this season as well.
