The Associated Press continues to push online initiatives, announcing this week the AP
Election Center. CEO Louis D. Boccardi said the site, which members can link to, is 'for
online readers who want as much detail as they can get on the candidates, the issues and
the campaigns from the White House to the statehouse.' Boccardi announced the service at
AP's annual meeting in New York this week.

Another new site, AP Politics, is designed as a resource for reporters and editors
covering campaigns. And the new Your AP service will allow editors to access election
results in November as soon as the come into the AP system, rather than waiting for updates
to move on the wire.

The AP is also working to produce state news reports in Web-ready formats for members.
