AP Appoints New Dept. Director of Online Markets

By: E&P Staff Kristie Kiernan Bouryal has been appointed deputy director of online newspaper markets for The Associated Press, effective Dec. 12.

Bouryal, who is currently the AP's assistant chief of bureau in Pennsylvania, will serve as a product manager for newspaper online services and on a team helping U.S. newspapers grow their new media audiences and businesses.

Before joining the AP in March, Bouryal, 34, directed news coverage and editorial for ABCNEWS Digital in New York. Before that she managed news and programming for ABC News Radio and founded the Affiliate Services Unit of ABC News Radio.
