By: Applications are now being accepted for the 5th annual Eric Breindel Award, which honors editorials or news coverage that promote "love of country and its democratic institutions." The contest is being expanded this year to include online journalism.

A $10,000 prize will be awarded. Entries must be postmarked by April 25.
