APT Announces Falcon Pagination Pro, Appoints Greg Martin

Posted
By: E&P Staff Advanced Publishing Technology, Burbank, Calif., announced Falcon Pagination Pro, which integrates with Falcon Classified Advertising and Falcon Ad Layout for pre-placement of classified display ads.

Falcon Pagination Pro paginates ads directly from the database or by drag and drop from the ad palette, allows late ad placement, and reports incorrect size and missing files. Manual positioning is enhanced by a multi-page preview. Color may be applied to ads, logos, or text, in print and online.

With individual classification preferences, Falcon Pagination Pro automatically manages multi-placement of headers, look-ahead for classifications, folios, flow of house ads, and multi-column headings, and can be set to square off pre-determined classifications. It handles long liners and multi-column ad flow and turn-around correctly, whether flowed forward or backward.

In other news, APT named Greg Martin as advertising shared services and quality assurance manager. Martin also assists in developing the user interface, and leads the generation of product documentation, technical information, and internal technical training.

In addition to quality assurance and distribution management for APT, Martin's experience includes four years as a development coordinator and quality assurance engineer, four years as project manager, and two years in technical support, field engineering, and training for publishing software, including disaster recovery.

APT offers integrated solutions for print and online publication, from wire-copy and news-gathering front ends and page planning, to remote ad entry, management, reporting, and production, to accounts receivables and product distribution. APT has applications to drive e-commerce and integrates third-party applications such as QuarkXPress and Adobe InDesign and AdManage.
