APT Hires Former Editor as Editorial Project Manager

By: E&P Staff Advanced Publishing Technology, Burbank, Calif., has hired Mark McKillop as an editorial project manager.

McKillop joined APT to help it meet demand for its cross-platform-compatible Falcon editorial system, which utilizes Adobe InDesign and InCopy, according to APT Prepress Operations Manager Wolfi Frank.

McKillop joined APT with more than 15 years' experience in publishing, including work as a reporter and editor at several newspapers. During his career he branched out to become an online editor, programmer, and Web site designer. He also worked in technical support.

Introduced to APT when its software was known as ACT, McKillop became reacquainted with the software and eventually the Falcon system at his most recent job as editor at The Sun Journal, New Bern, N.C., from which he brings APT customers first-hand newsroom knowledge of the system.
