Arianna Huffington's New 'Right Is Wrong' Book Looks at a 'Hijacked America'

By: E&P Staff Blogger/columnist Arianna Huffington's latest book has just been published by Knopf.

The 400-page hardcover is called "Right Is Wrong: How the Lunatic Fringe Hijacked America, Shredded the Constitution, and Made Us All Less Safe."

In the book, Huffington makes the case that the "lunatic fringe" of the right has taken over the Republican Party (with an assist from the media and compliant Democrats) despite holding views not shared by the majority of Americans. The result has been the U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq, a faltering economy, and many other major problems.

Huffington is co-founder/editor in chief of The Huffington Post group blog/news site and a columnist for Tribune Media Services, which also syndicates excerpts from The Huffington Post. She has authored about a dozen books.
