Associated Press Names Tokyo Bureau Chief

Ken Moritsugu has been named Tokyo bureau chief for The Associated Press. He succeeds Malcolm Foster, who has transferred to AP’s Asia-Pacific headquarters in Bangkok as an Asia desk editor. Moritsugu joined AP in 2007 and most recently served as its Asia-Pacific enterprise editor in Bangkok. His career has also included stints at The Japan Times, the Tampa Bay Times (formerly the St. Petersburg Times) and Newsday.
