'Atlanta Journal-Constitution' Promotes Eickhoff to Top Ops Post

By: E&P Staff Effective tomorrow, Atlanta Journal-Constitution Circulation Vice President Robert W. Eickhoff will be promoted to senior vice president, operations, reporting directly to Publisher John Mellott.

While continuing to leading the circulation department, Eickhoff also will be responsible for operations and information technology. Operations Vice President Stan Pantel and Chief Information Officer Ed Baer will report to Eickhoff.

Eickhoff joined the AJC in 2005 from the Orlando Sentinel, where he served as circulation and operations vice president. Before being named Orlando Sentinel circulation vice president in 1993, he held various circulation management positions at the Chicago Tribune.

The AJC credited Eickhoff with upgrading its approach to circulation, including simplified pricing, earlier home delivery, better customer service and stronger customer retention.
