ATS to Offer SCS/ClassPag

By: E&P Staff With recent purchases of its SCS/ClassPag by Singapore Press Holdings and the Los Angeles Times, Software Consulting Services LLC of Nazareth, Pa., has entered into an agreement whereby Advanced Technical Solutions Inc. of Acton, Mass., will resell the SCS classified pagination solution as a complement to the ATS AdVisor advertising system.

SCS President Richard J. Cichelli said Class/Pag's "interoperability makes it an effective publishing tool for any newspaper, regardless of size or other technology."

SCS/ClassPag interfaces with any advertising system, including SCS's own AdMAX for retail and classified, and is platform-independent, running on Linux, Microsoft NT/2000/XP/2003, Macintosh, and Unix. The program handles all elements and paginates from front to back or back to front, with user-definable "look-ahead" and "look-behind" for best ad placement. Ad types, classifications, and conflicts are color coded. The system's preflighting checks ad size, fonts, colors, and more, to reduce printing errors.
