AutoTrader to Power Cox Newspaper Classifieds

Posted
By: E&P Staff Cox Newspapers is fully integrating AutoTrader.com on its papers' sites this month.

AutoTrader will power new and online classified listings on The Palm Beach (Fla.) Post, and in Ohio at the Dayton Daily News, the Springfield News-Sun, Middletown Journal, and Hamilton Journal News. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Austin (Texas) American-Statesman are slated to join the partnership later.

Visitors to the co-branded sites will continue to see the newspaper's banner and masthead.

"We could not do better than to partner with the top auto classified site in the U.S.," Leon Levitt, vice president of digital media at Cox Newspapers, said in a statement. "Not only does AutoTrader.com bring more listings and audience than anyone else, but they have the functionality and tools to make the car buying experience efficient and even fun."

AutoTrader is a majority-owned subsidiary of Cox Enterprises.

Even though Cox is putting the Austin American-Statesman up for sale, the newspaper plans to continue its partnership with AutoTrader.
