By: Staff Reports Site Touts Package As Alternative To Print
AutoTrader.com is jumping on the "bigger-is-better" online
advertising bandwagon. The auto classifieds Web site announced
Wednesday the launch of its Interactive Display Advertising
program.
The Atlanta-based company said it will now give auto dealers the
option of creating full-page, color display ads online. Consumers
will be able to reach the ads by clicking on links from vehicle
listings on the Web site.
In a press release, AutoTrader touts the new option as "a simple
and cost-effective alternative to conventional print ads."
Dealers who advertise on AutoTrader.com will be able to pick from
four full-page templates, where they can list up to 10 deals from
their inventory. AutoTrader said dealers will be charged an
initial set-up fee, plus monthly renewals.
AutoTrader.com is a majority-owned subsidiary of Manheim Auctions
Inc., a division of Cox Enterprises Inc. Other investors and
strategic partners include ADP Inc. and eBay.
