By: Jennifer Saba Based on last week's Mid-Year Media Review presentations, Banc of America Securities sees no reason to get more aggressive on the sector, according to a note released Monday. The research firm maintains its cautious stance due to an unstable print environment in addition to tough comparisons in key categories.
As such, Banc of America remains most cautious on Tribune and Knight Ridder.

Online job postings for June on newspaper Web sites are on the rise. The New York Times is up 43%. The Boston Globe is up 15%. The San Diego Union Tribune is up 12%. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch is up 17%. The New Haven Register is up 31%.
Online real estate postings for June have been mixed, with the Times up 13%, the Globe up 27%, the Union-Tribune up 59%, the Post-Dispatch down 31%, and the Register up 11%.
