Baldwin Installs Dampeners, Water Purifier in Japan

Baldwin Technology Co., Shelton, Conn., has received approximately $1.1 million worth of printing equipment orders from Japanese newspaper publisher Kobe Shimbun.

The order calls for spray dampening systems and a water purifier to be installed on an existing Mitsubishi press at the Hanshin plant next month. Circulating 570,000 copies in Hyogo Prefecture, the Kobe Shimbun plant also prints several other newspapers.

Replacement of the existing dampening system was a result of the owners' satisfaction with a Baldwin system installed at another facility two years ago.
