Baldwin Names Mark Becker President and CEO

Baldwin Technology Co. Inc., Shelton, Conn., has appointed Mark T. Becker as president and CEO, effective immediately. Becker has been a member of Baldwin's board of directors for nine years. He replaces Karl Puehringer.

Becker, age 51, has more than 25 years of international experience in senior operational roles, most recently as operations vice president at Sun Capital Partners, where he directed a multibillion-dollar revenue portfolio of companies across a range of industries. Before that, Becker led the turnaround of Sylvania Lighting International as COO and CFO. He earlier served as CFO of Sappi Fine Paper North America, which sells specialty papers into the global graphic arts market.

"As an independent board member of long standing, Mark understands our business. He brings an exceptional ability to see the big picture and has a strong vision for the future of our company," Baldwin Chairman Gerald Nathe said in a statement.
