Baltimore Sun Media Group Names New Publishers

The Baltimore Sun Media Group has named new publishers for its newspapers in Anne Arundel and Carroll counties.

Tim Thomas, previously senior vice president of business development for the Baltimore Sun, will serve as publisher of The Capital, leading that Annapolis newspaper as well as the Maryland Gazette and other publications that are part of Capital-Gazette Communications.

Trish McCarthy Carroll, previously the Sun's senior vice president for customer engagement, will become publisher of the Carroll County Times, overseeing the newspaper and related publications.
