By: E&P Staff Barron's is setting its content free for four days during an "open house" trial session beginning Nov. 28.
The
trial coordinates with this weekend's issue of Barron's magazine and the PENTA section, which targets "pentamillionaires" or those with at least $5 million in assets.
"We continually seek ways for advertisers to reach our extremely high-quality audience as well as avenues to broaden that audience and reach new readers," Ed Finn, Barron's editor and president.
The open house will be sponsored exclusively by CFA Institute. "About 30% of the 100,000 CFA Institute members work with high net-worth investors, and we are pleased to see Barron's address their educational and investment decision-making needs," Stephan Horan, head of private wealth management at CFA, said in a statement.
Barron.com currently offers a mix of free and subscriber-only content.
