Batiuk Will Make Many Appearances to Promote 'Lisa's Story'

By: E&P Staff "Funky Winkerbean" cartoonist Tom Batiuk of King Features Syndicate will make at least 15 appearances in October and November to promote his new book: "Lisa's Story: The Other Shoe."

The book contains comics chronicling the Lisa character's battle against cancer, which she is expected to lose this fall.

According to King, Batiuk's appearances will be Oct. 6 in Akron, Ohio; Oct. 10 in Houston; Oct. 11 in Dallas; Oct. 15 in Beachwood, Ohio; Oct. 17 in Pasadena, Calif.; Oct. 18 in San Diego; Oct. 20 in Hudson, Ohio; Oct. 23 in Clifton, N.J.; Oct. 24 in Wynnewood, Pa.; Oct. 30 in Lyndhurst, Ohio; Nov. 3 in Wooster, Ohio; Nov. 4 in Pickering, Ohio; Nov. 5 in Cleveland; and Nov. 24 and 25 in Columbus, Ohio.

Given the location of many of the appearances, it's no surprise that Batiuk is based in Ohio.
