By: M.L. Stein A.H. BELO CORP., owner of the Dallas Morning News, has agreed in principle to acquire WWL-TV, a CBS affiliate in New Orleans, for $110 million in cash.
The deal is subject to regulatory approval and a final purchase agreement.
The station, which is highly decorated with awards and has a history of leadership in broadcast journalism, was acquired by an employee group from Loyola University in 1990.
