Ben Marrison Steps Down as Columbus Dispatch Editor

After 16 years of leadingThe Columbus Dispatch newsroom, Benjamin J. Marrison is stepping down as editor.

During Marrison’s tenure, The Dispatch established itself as the state’s best all-around newspaper and Dispatch.com as the best news website. The staff won state and national awards for reporting, and its journalism led to changes in city, state and federal law. Last week, the newspaper won the Associated Press Media Editors national award for defending the First Amendment.
