By: E&P Staff Berlingske Media -- Denmark's largest news publisher, with 14 dailies, dozens of other, local newspapers, Web sites and regional radio stations -- will deploy the Saxotech Mediaware Center for content creation and sharing and channel management for more than 80 print and digital product titles.

As part of the newsroom convergence, Berlingske's Midjyske Medier went live today on the Mediaware Center, bringing to more than 400 the total number of users sharing content across the new workflow solution.

"Now the editorial staff in Jutland can experience close collaboration while working together with colleagues from Copenhagen," Midjyske Medier Editor in Chief Dorte Carlsen said in a statement.

The configurable content-management system with tight integration of print and digital channels is expected to streamline the group's workflow and support newsroom collaboration. Productivity is expected to increase through the management of all stories, from planning through delivery, regardless of channel, in one system, according to Saxotech, based in Aalborg, Denmark, and Tampa, Fla.

The Mediaware Center already produces many Berlingske titles, providing access to a common editorial database and planning tools.
