By: E&P Staff Digital Technology International in Springville, Utah, will supply Delo d d, Ljubljana, Slovenia, with a 350-user DTI ContentPublisher solution that will replace a system developed in-house.
The national daily, whose name translates as "Labor," contracted for the installation after operating a test system. It is scheduled to go-live this spring.
Four of neighboring Croatia's five newspapers already use solutions from DTI, which says it is adding staff.
Based on the multidimensional Cache database that manages and stores text, photos, graphics and sound files, ContentPublisher includes DTI applications for newspaper-specific needs such as wire, remote reporter and contributor input. DTI also has integrated Adobe applications such as InCopy for reporter input, InDesign for design and pagination, and Dreamweaver for Web site creation.
Continuing their 20-year collaboration, DTI and Adobe created functionality that allows more than one person to work on the same page at the same time in InDesign and Dreamweaver.
Delo has Monday-through-Saturday supplements for business, women, the home, sports, tv programming and a Saturday Supplement. On Sunday, when it is the only newspaper to publish, it includes the supplement Open Kitchen.
