Big Rise in Bloggers for The Huffington Post

By: E&P Staff HuffingtonPost.com now has about 1,800 bloggers, according to a USA Today article.

This is way up from April 2006, when E&P reported a total of 700-plus bloggers just prior to the group blog/news site's first anniversary in May 2006.

HuffingtonPost.com now also has 43 full-time employees, said USA Today.

The site was co-founded by Ken Lerer and editor-in-chief Arianna Huffington, who writes a a column for Tribune Media Services. In addition to syndicating that column, TMS distributes content from HuffingtonPost.com.
