Bill Holland Appointed 'Country Messenger' Publisher

Bill Holland, the former publisher of the Fort Morgan (Colo.) Times, has been named the new publisher of The Sun and the Country Messenger in Scandia, Minn., effective July 6. Holland has served as publisher of dailies and weeklies in Benton and Monmouth, Ill., Nebraska City, Neb., and Faribault and Fairmont, Minn. He succeeds Carter Johnson, who has served as publisher for the past seven years. Johnson will succeed his father, Gene Johnson, as publisher of the Press Publications newspaper group in White Bear Lake, Minn., effective July 12.
