Bill Schwartz never admitted it, but he loved people.
The 30-year Gettysburg Times photographer would grumble whenever he was given an assignment. As he developed, and later electronically filed, photos, he would grumble again. Between those grumbles, Bill came to life.
Bill died on Friday at the age of 64. Cancer had prevented him from taking photos for this newspaper since 2013, but many remember him being at assignments as if it were yesterday.
