A group of business leaders who wanted to bid on buying the Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News has proposed creating a new and competing digital and print publication if it is shut out from bidding on the Philadelphia Media Network.
Bart Blatstein, a Philadelphia real estate developer, said in a statement that he and his partners have examined how to produce and distribute a newspaper online and in print and will consider moving forward with it.
