By: E&P Staff Liza Sabater, a blogger who posts at
CultureKitchen.com surfed her way into an in-development New York City politics blog hosted by NYTimes.com called "The Daily Gotham," and then discovered that she could even post onto the site.
In a post on the Times' site, Sabater noted that she had discovered the nascent Times blog through a referral link to her own site, and then was incredulous to discover that she could enter the site using only her name and email address.
"I honestly cannot believe they just left the door open like that,"
writes Sabater. "I mean, I'd never ever develop a site for a client on their actual url. And if I really had to, then all access would be restricted -- and I mean, all of it."
