Bloomberg Media launches new digital video experience and reports strong FY2025

Posted

Today, Bloomberg Media announced the launch of its new digital video experience, a redesigned one-stop home for premium live and on-demand content. Viewers globally can now access all of Bloomberg’s video on its site and at the new “Stream” tab on the Bloomberg mobile app. The updated hub will arrive on streaming platforms in Q3 2026.

The new modern interface was built for faster discovery of Bloomberg’s video journalism, analysis and storytelling, and includes significantly higher streaming quality powered by a proprietary media player, and newsroom-led curation that empowers editors to instantly pivot the layout to match the pulse of the global market.

Additionally, Bloomberg Media closed the second half of FY2025 with strong results that reflected the company’s dual mission: broadening influence across all of Bloomberg’s businesses and diversifying revenue through advertising, subscriptions, events and partnerships. Bloomberg Media CEO Karen Saltser detailed the company’s 2025 performance in a memo, calling out several notable results, including:

  • Total revenue up 6% YoY, with subscriptions revenue up 10% and live events sponsorships up 30%.
  • Audio advertising grew 16% YoY, driven primarily by 34% growth in podcasts.
  • Double-digit percentage subscriber growth, now reaching 707,000+ paying subscribers.
  • Monthly newsletter users grew 20% YoY.
  • Total hours-watched on video grew 25% YoY with 55 million unique monthly viewers.
  • Audio up 15% YoY in average monthly listeners, and podcast downloads up 26% YoY.
