Bloomberg's News Division to Lay Off About 50

Bloomberg LP plans to lay off about 50 people from its news division, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal. That would be about a 2 percent cut from the newsroom, the report said, with concentration in the sports and entertainment spaces.

Bloomberg’s news division includes television, radio, and digital operations, and employs about 2,400 people, the Journal said, compared to the 15,000 people Bloomberg LP employs in its financial-services division.
