By: E&P Staff Self-service print and online community marketplace solutions provider Bluefin Technology Partners LLC, in Andover, Mass., announced its first customer outside North America. Regional newspaper publisher CN Group Ltd., headquartered in Carlisle, England, uses Bluefin Place Ad for self-service Web order entry for print and online ad buys, as well as Bluefin Marketplace for publishing ads within its Clickin2.co.uk marketplace portal.
The group's publishing division has two dailies, five weeklies and a range of free papers, directories, magazines and niche titles, as well as a new-media business. Each paper has its own Web site.
Bluefin is represented by Drag and Drop Ltd., Southend-on-Sea, in Essex, as exclusive distributor for the United Kingdom and Ireland. In North America, 5-year-old Bluefin's clients publish more than 100 newspapers.
Bluefin Place Ad's upsells include added print components and online features (additional photos, prominent placement, video uploads, sponsored keyword searches, etc.) to help drive revenue. Bluefin Marketplace helps publishers compete with online-only operations by offering a multi-media combination that extends reach into the local community. The online local marketplace, Clickin2.co.uk now can easily publish all local ad content that can be searched at a local or regional level. Local advertisers can also manage their ads, with the ability to edit, cancel or renew them online.
