Bob Petty, Longtime Ch. 7 Anchor and Reporter, Dies

Bob Petty was one of the first African American on-air personalities at WLS-Ch. 7, where he spent more than 30 years as a reporter and news anchor.
“He was really a good reporter. I admired his astuteness. And he was always a gentleman,” said retired Chicago news anchor Harry Porterfield, who worked at Ch. 7 for 24 years.
