By: E&P Staff The Boston Globe will soon start publishing front-page ads. The news came two days after its sibling, The New York Times, carried its first display ad at the bottom of page one.
A Globe spokesman said details on price, size and exact location was still being worked out. He said the decision was arrived at independent of the Times move.
Like the Times, the Globe has sold ads on section fronts in recent years.
All dailies are looking for new ways to generate revenue during a severe downturn.
