Boston Globe Leaves Sunday-Only Rates Alone As It Raises Seven-Day Home Delivery Prices By 6 Percent

The folks over on Morrissey Boulevard are trying to do whatever they can to shore up sales of the Sunday Globe. And you know what? Their approach might just be paying off.

First, Boston Globe executives decided to put much of the paper’s online content behind a paywall while allowing anyone with a print subscription, even a Sunday-only subscription, unlimited access. The cost of a Sunday-only subscription even turned out to be slightly less expensive than a digital-only subscription, so some readers had to be tempted by that more-for-less option.
