Brad Harmon has been named president and publisher of Dispatch Media Group, which includes The Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch. Harmon joined GateHouse six years ago and served most recently as regional vice president for the company’s largest daily newspapers. He began his media career as an intern on the business side at The News-Herald in Willoughby, Ohio. He later rose through the ranks of sales and marketing positions at a series of papers, including The Oregonian in Portland. He had several stints with Gannett, including at newspapers in Cincinnati, Ohio, Indianapolis, Ind., and Rochester, N.Y.
