By: E&P Staff Hoje em Dia in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, has chosen Atex's content management solutions Hermes10 and Polopoly to improve integration and productivity of its print and digital workflows.
The project team of Editorial Director Carlos Lindenberg, IT Manager Luiz Henrique Aquino Campos and Newsroom Secretary Maria Eugenia Lages attributed the choice to Hermes' flexibility of in accommodating any workflow and organization, allowing multiple staffers to work simultaneously.
Implementation began last summer, and the change-over was ahead of schedule. The main goals were achieved were: to allow the editor to be as independent as possible, ease page creation, reduce graphical mistakes, improve quality and shorten deadlines. "Considering we were using very old systems and with many deficiencies, we opted for swapping all the newspaper systems in one shot," Lages said in a statement.
Hoje em Dia is also the first newspaper in Brazil to acquire Atex Polopoly, which facilitates the paper's handling of all digital content and enhances its their multi-channel publishing capabilities.
