Business Partners Make Offer for Albuquerque Daily

Posted
By: The president of a New Mexico advertising and public relations firm says he and his business partner have made an offer to buy The Albuquerque Tribune from the E.W. Scripps Company.

Tom Carroll says he and Doug Turner are interested in continuing to operate The Tribune as a daily newspaper.

The two men are top-ranking executives of the D.W. Turner advertising and public relations firm in Albuquerque.

Carroll declines to discuss the offering price or proposed operational issues, citing a confidentiality agreement, but he says the offer is independent of D.W. Turner?s operations.

Carroll says the two are waiting to hear back from Scripps officials, who couldn?t be reached for comment late Wednesday night.
