By: E&P Staff Barack Obama's pick for a running has been so delayed -- and speculation has run so high -- that a report of a local company printing Obama/Bayh bumper stickers drew wide attention in the Kansas City area.
The Kansas City Star reported in late afternoon that a local TV station, KMBC, was reporting that a local printer in Lenexa was printing Obama-Bayh material.
Word "leaked" out from Gill Studios, which would neither confirm nor deny. But the TV station revealed that "at least three sources close to the plant's operations reported the Obama-Bayh material was being produced."
However, Friday night, NBC reported that Sen. Bayh, along with another hopeful, Gov. Tim Kaine, had been informed by the Obama campaign that they were not to be chosen, leaving Sen. Joseph Biden, and possibly Rep. Chet Edwards, as the most likely picks, come Saturday.
