Cagle, Turner, Bechdel Among Comic-Con 'Special Guests'

By: E&P Staff Daryl Cagle, Morrie Turner, and Alison Bechdel will be among the "special guests" at the July 26-29 San Diego Comic-Con.

Cagle is an editorial cartoonist, founder of the Cagle.MSNBC.com editorial-cartoon site, founder of the Cagle Cartoons syndicate, and a former president of the National Cartoonists Society.

Turner does the 1965-launched "Wee Pals," considered a pioneering comic because of its racially and ethnically diverse cast. Creators Syndicate distributes the strip.

Bechdel, author of the acclaimed "Fun Home" graphic-novel memoir, does the self-syndicated "Dykes to Watch Out For" comic.
