Calif. Newspaper Partnership Buys LA.com

By: The California Newspapers Partnership has bought LA.com for an undisclosed price from David Ezra and Marty Mizrahi of Las Vegas.

The partnership, jointly owned by Gannett Co. Inc., MediaNews Group, and Stephens Media Group, is managed by Media NewsGroup. The group includes 21 dailies in California with a combined circulation over 600,000, including the Los Angeles Daily News and Long Beach Press-Telegram.

California Newspapers Partnership President Jerry Grilly said the site will be relaunched later this year with content from member newspapers and partners. In the meantime, the newspapers will begin adding some content to the site.
