By: E&P Staff Canada's Weller Publishing is adding a four-high tower to its Goss Community SSC press to provide customers with more color pages and greater flexibility in color pagination.
Launched in 1963 as the publisher of a Toronto-area Hungarian weekly, Weller is now a full-service printer of more than 100 publications, including dailies, weeklies and some seasonal publications.
The original Community at the company's Etobicoke facility, near Toronto, was installed in 1980. After several earlier reconfigurations and with the new tower, the press will consist of six mono-units, two two-color towers, a three-color tower and three four-high towers, along with two SSC folders.
