Canadians Ponder Media Ownership Rules

By: E&P Staff U.S. congressmen weren't the only legislators in the Americas who spent the summer reflecting on whether to re-tighten regulations on media ownership. In the Canadian Parliament, a massive report issued by the Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage has reignited the debate over a perennial national question: Are too many newspapers, broadcast stations and other media in the hands of too few owners?
