By: E&P Staff CareerBuilder.com, the U.S. newspaper-run online job site, said Wednesday that it is partnering with India's largest career Web site, Naukri.com in an agreement that reflects the increasingly global scope of recruiting.
"Not only are people from India being hired in ever larger numbers by international companies, even companies in India have started hiring global talent," Vineet Singh, Naukri's senior vice president of sales and head of international business, said in a statement. "This partnership is a great enabler to global talent acquisition. Through this partnership, companies from India will have access to the best talent from the U.S."
Naukri receives more than 180 million page views monthly, and maintains a database of 6.5 million registered users with job postings from more than 20,000 corporations.
CareerBuilder, owned by three newspaper chains, Gannett Co, Tribune Company, and The McClatchy Company, is the largest U.S. online job site with more than 23 million unique visitors and 1.5 million jobs.
Under the agreement, the companies said they will post links to each other's sites, streamline the job posting process, and offer centralized billing.
CareerBuilder said research shows the online recruitment market in India is valued at $33 million for 2006, and is growing at an annual rate of 60%.
