E&P Magazine (Editor & Publisher) is proud to announce that American Newspaper Solutions (ANS) and CarrierTrack Technologies (CTT) have joined as presenting sponsors of the 2025 Operations All-Star Awards. This annual competition honors outstanding professionals in newspaper operations who demonstrate leadership, innovation and excellence in areas such as print production, distribution and logistics.

“At ANS and CarrierTrack, we’ve always believed that the unsung heroes of the newspaper industry are those who ensure that every edition reaches readers efficiently and reliably,” said Jerry Ballenger, founder and CEO of ANS and CTT. “Sponsoring the Operations All-Star Awards is our way of shining a spotlight on these dedicated professionals who keep the presses running and the papers moving.”

With over 47 years of experience in newspaper distribution, logistics planning and software development, Rick Epstein, president of ANS, emphasized the importance of recognizing operational excellence: “Our industry thrives because of the commitment and ingenuity of operations teams. Supporting the Operations All-Star Awards aligns perfectly with our mission to advance the standards of newspaper distribution and logistics.”

“E&P has been supporting these awards for years, and it’s gratifying to see industry leaders like ANS and CarrierTrack join us in recognizing the vital contributions of newspaper operations professionals,” said Mike Blinder, publisher of E&P Magazine.

The Operations All-Star Awards are a joint project of E&P and the International Newspaper Group (ING), which announces the winners at the annual ING Leadership Networking Summit — a premier event that brings together industry leaders to share insights and best practices. Members of the ING board select winners in three categories (national, regional and distribution) based on entries collected over a two-month period by E&P Magazine. Each of the three first-place winners will receive $2,000 from ING. Additionally, imPRESSions Worldwide & CellMark will cover airfare and lodging so each winner can attend the conference.
