Cartoon Blogger Gets Buried in 'One Big Happy' Grave

By: E&P Staff Josh Fruhlinger spoofs the work of many newspaper cartoonists in his Comics Curmudgeon blog. Yesterday, one of those creators took a humorous swipe back.

In his Thursday "One Big Happy" comic, Rick Detorie showed two of his characters speaking in a cemetery near a tombstone on which Fruhlinger's name is engraved. The Creators Syndicate strip can be seen here.

Fruhlinger noticed his name while reading the comics, and joked: "Funeral services for me ... will take place at Our Lady Of Perpetual Meddling."

Detorie responded: "Good eye, Fruhlinger. Tonight we'll see how fast your reflexes are. One last piece of advice: DON'T go to sleep."
