Cartoonist John Kovaleski's Life After 'Bo Nanas' Comic

By: Dave Astor John Kovaleski, whose "Bo Nanas" comic ended syndication with the Washington Post Writers Group in July 2007, is keeping busy.

The cartoonist is doing Mad magazine and greeting-card work, as well as teaching and more. He also has a blog that can be seen here.

"Bo Nanas," which starred a monkey, began in May 2003. Kovaleski proposed to his wife in the feature in 2004, and even had Bo attend a comic strip version of the wedding the following spring. In 2005, Andrews McMeel Publishing released "Monkey Meets World," a compilation book of "Bo Nanas" strips.
