Cartoonist Lynn Johnston is Illustrating a 2009 Children's Book

By: E&P Staff A children's book illustrated by "For Better or For Worse" creator Lynn Johnston is scheduled to be published by HarperCollins during the summer of 2009.

In a January 2008 interview with E&P, Johnston had mentioned that a children's book was in the works.

The book will be written by Johnston's sister-in-law, Beth Cruikshank, whose work includes the character biographies on FBorFW.com. She also assisted on two previous Johnston books.

Aimed at kids 4 to 7, the 2009 book will focus on the adventures of a dog who loves to eat.

"For Better or For Worse" -- now a hybrid of new and old material -- runs in more than 2,000 newspapers via Universal Press Syndicate.
