By: E&P Staff Armstrong Williams has been the subject of thousands of words -- and now at least one editorial cartoon.
Robert Ariail of The State in Columbia, S.C., and United Media drew Williams holding a microphone as he says, "I believe in 'No Child Left Behind.'" Then, addressing three bags of money walking behind him, Williams adds: "Come along now, children."
Williams -- who's from South Carolina -- had his contract terminated by Tribune Media Services Friday after revelations that he accepted $240,000 from the Bush administration to promote the No Child Left Behind education law on his TV and radio shows and that he mentioned NCLB at least four times last year in his column (E&P Online, Jan. 7 and 10).
